Space exploration is a wonderous thing that some people could only dream about happening.Being able to see the cosmos and floating in the nothingness, see stars, explore planets and other solar systems. There's just something extravagant about it, nevertheless it can also be dangerous and can kill you if you're not prepared just think of the climate on other planets. We also produce lots of litter when leaving earth's atmosphere but we could find cleaner fuels. We should not colonize space it is dangerous and could harm other planets, but we should be able to explore it with cleaner fuels.

“It’s also important to remember that the $2.5 billion investment made in this project was not spent on Mars, but right here on Earth, supporting more than 7,000 jobs in at least 31 states,” he wrote. But the benefit can cut in a negative way, too. NASA’s budget is allocated by Congress, which means that the amount of money it has available for employment fluctuates. There are also some programs that are highly dependent on grants, which can make stable jobs challenging in those fields. Finally, as the priorities of Congress/NASA change, jobs can evaporate with it. One example was the space shuttle’s retirement, which prompted a job loss so massive that NASA had a “transition strategy” for its employees and contractors. Nevertheless Some people think ¨It’s also unclear what constitutes a “job” under NASA parlance. Some universities have researchers working on multiple projects — NASA-related or not. Employment can also be full-time, part-time or occasional. So while “job creation” is cited as a benefit, more details about those jobs are needed to make an informed decision about how much good it does (Elizabeth Howell)”.But this is also dangerous. casualties are higher the more people that you have so that means that if you have less the less casualties the more money saved and less likely to get …show more content…

Now that space exploration is not a military objective, the government does not prioritize its funding as much. Science based programs, including NASA, only account for 1.13% of the government’s budget. National defense on the other hand, receives 23.91% of the taxes collected by the government (“Your 2014 Taxpayer Receipt”). This clearly shows that defense is the government's main priority, and that is understandable. Instead of forcing the government to pay more for space exploration, the main objectives of NASA could be changed to focus on defense from extraterrestrial threats, such as asteroids.…

“To boldly go where no man has gone before” (Star Trek: The Original Series) is not the only motive for exploring the cosmos. Whether we like it or not, the universe we live in is the ultimate home in which the Earth is merely a room and, with every tremor and creek of its walls and floors, the Earth is affected. As was emphasized throughout the beloved Star Trek series, human curiosity is a powerful force, a force that led us to the moon and eventually the construction of a space station where anyone from any country can live sharing a common goal, space exploration. It is this curiosity that each and every human intrinsically possess that has allowed us to work in tandem that the limited grounds of Earth just cannot allow. As a result of…
