Many people believe the Titanic was brought down by an iceberg while this is true
It is Sunday, April 14, 1912, at 11:39 pm. The shout, “ICEBERG RIGHT AHEAD!!!!!!!” is heard. 37 seconds later, the Titanic hits an iceberg and starts to sink. The sinking lost more than half of the ship’s crew and passengers. Of around 2,228 people aboard, 1,503 died and 725 survived.…
The Titanic!! From Antonine Marie Mallet’s Point of view (1887-1974) Once, there was a ship, a very BIG ship, and it, was called, the TITANIC! The Titanic was one of the most famous boats out there, with a whopping 2,228 passengers!…
Now to anyone that would hear this news would be so shocked and confused because the Titanic was the unsinkable ship, well…
The Titanic sunken in the Pacific ocean, but who or what was responsible for the Titanic disaster? It was a dark foggy night on Titanic, everything seemed normal but that night would go down in history. For starters it was a foggy on that night with almost no visibility says on page 18. The lookout could not see out.…
But why was if their fault? Here is why these people’s actions caused the sinking of the Titanic. The radio workers, almost as soon as the ship left for sea, were getting warnings of floating ice and Icebergs in their way further out in the Atlantic Ocean. But what would a little bit of floating ice do to the unsinkable ship after all?…
Although there were many different factors that played a role into the sinking of the Titanic, the weather played a huge role into it. It was clear with no moon, and the sea was completely calm, making it hard to tell if any danger was ahead (Cummins). After the Titanic had hit the iceberg, only one ship answered its distress signals; the Carpathia, but it unfortunately came when too many people had died and the crew members on the ship were only able to rescue 700 survivors (“Titanic Sinking”). Many people died that horrific night, but it the outcome of deaths would’ve been smaller if the ship would have had enough lifeboats for all of the passengers on board. There wasn’t enough lifeboats on the ship because the company that the Titanic came from; the White Star Line did not want to clutter the deck of the first class (Schama).…
The Titanic was thought to be the fastest and most remarkable ship of its time. Many considered the Titanic to be unsinkable, oh boy were they wrong! The disaster could have been stopped if all of the crew members and construction workers took matters in their own hands to see if they had a large quantity of life jackets, lifeboats, and made sure of the weather conditions throughout their journey. If the crew members on the ship would have did every bit of that the ship probably would be running to this day. The tragedy of the Titanic could have been prevented based on the mindset of the concept of the ship, the crew responsibility, and the design flaws.…
The reader 's knowledge of Titanic…
The Titanic “The ship took a sudden dip, and the sea came rolling up, carrying everyone with it. Many were drowned there and then (“Titanic Survivor’s Eyewitness Account”).” Have you ever wondered what really happened to the Titanic? There are numerous theses of the calamitous event, but no one knows what actually transpired. All we know is that the Titanic departed Southampton and had already visited Cherbourg, France, and Queenstown, Ireland, before heading towards New York City, where it supposedly hit an iceberg near the end of its voyage and sank with over half the passengers.…
A beautiful tragedy… in April of 1912 The Titanic sunk in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Nobody knew it was going to be some of their last nights with their loved ones, or the last night they would enjoy the company of an acquaintance they may have come across on their trip on the fateful Titanic. “Not Even God himself Could Sink this Ship” says an Employee of the White Star Line. Passengers and crew members, music, and art work all went down and were forever lost that sad, unfortunate night The Titanic sank.…
What the passengers did not know was that they were about to witness one of the largest, most remembered disasters at sea. Unfortunately, this disaster could have been prevented. Despite the popular belief that the Titanic was unsinkable, many factors such as structure and lack of safety regulations played a major role that led to the ship’s demise, resulting in the loss of many lives. The Titanic was constructed to appear to sovereign over the sea, which became a…
With extensive research it has come to the conclusion that the sinking of the Titanic was the crew workers and the wireless operators fault. Yes many might think that Captain Smith is at fault since he is said to run everything, but it was the workers poor actions that led to the demise of the Titanic. The rudeness of the radio operators on the Titanic turned the Californian away, workers ignored many important warnings, and a crew worker who steered the wheel turned…
As for the engineering point of view: several rivets of the 3 million rivets that held the Titanic together were recently recovered and tested, and found to be made of low quality iron, which on impact caused them to fall apart. This might have contributed to the event. Another engineering fault was that the 16 watertight compartments that kept the boat afloat, were not individually sealed, but rather connected near the ceiling. This enabled the water to spill from one compartment to another and sink the…
One such mistake is in the creation and sinking of the renowned ship known as the Titanic. After pieces of the fabled ship had…
Ever since I saw the movie “Titanic” when I was seven years old I’ve always been interested in the Titanic and how such a tragedy could have happened to a ship that was supposedly unsinkable. IV. (Preview Statement) I would like to inform you about the Titanic, her reputation of being the safest ship ever built because she was apparently unsinkable. Next, I will discuss how the…
