First, I joined robotics in the beginning of my freshman year and I have never been so excited to go to school to not only go to robotics after, but to go school and see all my friends from robotics during school too. My friends make school fun for me, and I would not have met my wobot family if I didn't join activities. Joining extracurriculars could be the little push that gets students out of bed in the morning and helps people make lots of new friends. Second, Joining after school activities can give students a better chance to get into a good college. One example is is that a student with a GPA of 3.8 that didn't do after school activities might be declined over a person with a GPA 3.5 but was very involved. Many colleges want kids who have good grades and are involved around school because otherwise students would sit in their rooms until they had to come out. Freshman should join after school activities because it gets students more involved and it looks very good on college
