Every parent wants their child to have a better future than they had, its more or less the American dream for ones child to go to college to brighten their future. The only challenge holding parents back from sending their kids to college is the cost. I can not begin to fathom the endless numbers of fraternities and sororities existing at every college for students to join if wanted. Not only does college teach someone social skills but it also teaches how to be independent and live on your own without actually having to be alone just yet (Oklahoma State University). Moving out of home can be very frightening but college is just a stepping stone to reaching full independence. As of now there are currently 25,962 students enrolled at just one of the many colleges here in the U.S that one has the opportunity to socialize with on a daily basis (Oklahoma State University).
