Evolution is a theory while it also is a fact. Facts are the data while theories explain those facts. Just because something is a fact does not mean it has a complete certainty, it just has enough data and evidence to verify a phenomenon. Darwin continually emphasized the difference between the fact of evolution and the theory of natural selection. In the 19th century when Darwin published his book On the Origin of Species the theory of natural selection became quickly accepted, besides a few skeptics. Still till this day, in the 21st century, there are still skeptics about the fact of evolution. In the book Why Evolution is True written by Jessy Coin, he outlines 6 predictions that would are true, proving it with facts about evolution.
