A bad stereotype is when you get hated by people judging you when they do not know you. Good stereotypes you might be figured to be a great lover by your appearance. You could be given a job by your appearance that you wanted badly.
Using stereotypes can make people feel good about themselves. It can also hurt their feelings. How would it make you feel if someone hated you from seeing you from across campus? We have all been a victim of someone not knowing the real you, and judging you. That was a bad case of stereotyping. But, your walking across campus and the most beautiful girl comes over and ask you out on a date. She does not know you she is sizing you up by first impressions.
Stereotypes hurt people every day, we are all guilty of it. Making snap conclusions about someone without even knowing them. Looking around the room you do not know anyone in your class. Look to your left and right the quiet girl in class may cut herself because she thinks that is the only way to get attention. The young boy that cracks the jokes could struggle with anxiety, and feels people are staring at him any way so he wants to do it on his term. The single mom dragging herself to school every day, turning her assignment in at the last minute may be struggling to feed her kids.
