Starting with my freshman year through sophomore year I was comfortable with classes and with my after school activities. At the end of my sophomore year, I decided it was time to step outside of my comfort zone. I wanted new challenges inside and outside of school. Therefore I joined band and joined a new sport.
I started off by enrolling in band at the start of my junior year. It was a huge leap for me because I did not know how to play an instrument. I knew very little about music and knew no one in band. But I was determined and had goals. My initial goal for band was to learn the basics of playing a new instrument and eventually to play at a high school level in band. When first starting off at Bay Nordic I wanted to learn how to balance on two wheels on each foot, known as roller skies. Then turn wheels into skis to glide on the snow. But being who I am, I just pushed through the fear and that made me stronger and closer with the team. As the season continued I became faster and stronger. I am proud …show more content…
