Many immigrants try to fit into the United States by eating the unhealthy foods and gaining weight. Soon, more and more immigrants may come in, and this unhealthy eating disorder will increase to more and more people becoming unhealthy. People that don’t eat the right foods can end up with diabetes.
People that come into the United States legally are called, “Immigrants.” When immigrants enter, they try to fit into the modern society to be like everyone else, but they may actually go too far. immigrants had a choice to choose their favorite foods or our “American” foods. “After being questioned about their ability to speak English, 75 percent of Asian-Americans identified a typical American food as their favorite. Only 25 percent of Asian-Americans who had not been asked if they spoke English did the same.” I think that some of the U.S. immigrants can sometimes be embarrassed of their ethnicity.
I also think that our country is rich and also vibrant because of the choices that we made to have an unsteady and unhealthy diet in the U.S. U.S. immigrants come here either because the dangers of crime in their country, political corruption, or either to make a better living and have a second chance in life.
Overall, I do believe that the U.S. immigrants try to fit in to be like “the average American”. The immigrants will go too far and eat junk food that we serve!
