Why I want to become a nurse

“Nursing is defined as a profession or practice of providing care for the sick and infirm”. Nursing is known a highly respected and sought after career because everyone that belongs to this profession is able to make a difference in the life of those they care for in one way or the other. I want to become a nurse because, nursing is one of the most exciting and in-demand jobs in America today. Nurses work to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness and this will is my philosophy and that is why I want to become a nurse so that help those that need help in time of their needs. Nurses are needed by the general population for his or her skills and the contributions to the medical field. Working for eight, ten or twelve hours is common, though it is not unheard of to work even longer shifts when patient 's demand exceeds available staff. There are plenty of opportunities in nursing, I can use my skills as Nurse to move on and work as a clinical nurse specialist, nurse practitioner, researcher, teacher, or manager. I can work directly with patients in a healthcare facility, handle trauma care, serve as a legal nurse consultant in the court system, and even use my nursing skills to teach and write or interact with children and the elderly.
