“Be yourself; no base imitator of another, but your best self. There is something which you can do better than another. Listen to the inward voice and bravely obey that. Do the things at which you are great, not what you were never made for.” This quote means a lot to me because it tells you to be yourself and not force what isn’t natural to you. I feel that society as a whole could learn something from this because we’re surrounded with famous idles such as Beyoncé or Eminem and want to be them. I see this quote as meaningful because I don’t try to imitate others and I listen to that inner voice and it has brought me to the wonderful place I’m at now. For the last sentence, it inspires me to do better because I am great at being a bird-loving, hard-working, nerdy, comedian self. I’ve tried to be a videogame playing, phone obsessed, angst-y teen and it’s not easy and I wasted too much energy forcing something I’m not good
