In the beginning the women seems normal just depressed and annoyed with the fact that her husband wouldn’t let her leave. The women only mentions the fact that she cant see her baby once which surprises me because you think she would be more focused on the baby. In the beginning you think she maybe she just doesn’t like the wallpaper. Then after she doesn’t talk about anything but the wallpaper I start to think that maybe there is something wrong with her. I’m surprised when she brings up the wallpaper to her husband who is a physician and he doesn’t say anything about it. Then as soon as she said this “There is a recurrent spot where the pattern lolls like a broken neck and two bulbous eyes stare at you upside down.” I knew that something was truly wrong with her. Her visions of seeing things in the wall seem to change in the weirdest ways. I think when she says this “like a woman stooping down and creeping about behind that pattern.” That is when she has gone to far and lost her mind. Somehow though she continues to get worse as she believes the wallpaper changes under the moonlight. When she mentions that there is a woman creeping behind the wallpaper I know there has to be more to her madness than what I previous thought. When she says the woman is shaking the wallpaper to get out that’s when you realize she feels trapped and for some reason has latched on to this paper as her escape. This is proven
