Was Andrew Carnegie a hero? Do all hero’s wear capes? Andrew Carnegie was and still is a hero and didn’t wear a cape. He was one of the richest man in America he donated so much money and helped out so many families . Andrew Carnegie was born in 1835 in a attic of a weavers cottage in Dunfermline Scotland. He grew up Poor he was a hard working boy and helped out his family get through difficult times of being poor. (Doc A) At age 17 he was working as setting schedules and untangling train wrecks for the Pennsylvania Railroad. His hard work paid off and became supervisor.
