A hero is not some who rescues others to only receive an award for it. A hero is not someone who is called to rescue others whatsoever they are located. A hero does not put on a costume to fight crime. When a child is in a house, a hero does not expect to get commended by others for one's actions. Heroes do not leave work just to save others. When help is needed, one does not take time to put on a costume to fight crime. Heroes do not have to be superheroes, but instead one can fight for rights, get shot, and to stand back up to keep fighting for their rights. Malala Yousafzai was one who stood up for education and against the Taliban, yet does not want to be known for it. “I don’t want to be thought as the girl who was shot by the Taliban, but the girl who fought for education.. This is the cause to which I want to devote my life” (Malala 426). Malala was not a hero for her injury, but one for standing up for her rights. She was determined to have equality for women in Pakistan. She was not one who stood up to receive awards, but to express and impact Pakistan’s society for more proper education for women.
