When Was Truman Created Nuclear Weapons

On August 6 1945 the world saw a new age of warfare. It began during the early stages of World War 2 when Albert Einstein alerted President Truman of an atomic bomb that can do a large amount of damage at once. After this, Truman began the Manhattan Project that purpose was to create the first US nuclear weapon. At the head of this project was General Leslie Groves and Physicist Robert Oppenheimer. Robert was a strange but very intelligent man, the project progressed much more quickly cause his leadership. After the success of the Manhattan Project, Roosevelt taking his seat in office after Truman's death had a decision. Ether to invade Japan and risk the lives of hundreds of thousands of American soldiers and even more Japanese or drop the Little Boy and the Fat Man. This is the strongest weapon mankind has ever created. The Manhattan Project was a top secret military project created in 1942. This project was to create the first US nuclear weapon. Robert Oppenheimer and General Leslie R. Groves served as directors of the Manhattan Project. Oppenheimer was actually the person who decided to pick all the locations. One of which was Los Alamos not so far from the first successful detonation test site also known as The Trinity Test Site.
