On the surface, this definition of sex looks as though it would be good enough to satisfy what we are looking for, However, upon further inspection, this definition is also problematic. The mention of the sex being “conscious” definitely helps in this matter. It is important that both parties knows and are aware that they are having sex. Another good idea of this definition is with the word “Consenting”. This is fundamentally the most important part of the definition.…

Atwood’s use of irony in The Handmaids Tale explores the use of satirical nature through themes, characters and scenes in the novel. A pure yet strong emotion such as love is manipulated into something bizarre to the human mind, stripping those their innocence and a pure sense of love. A love that is so pure between a Commander and his wife is destroyed when she lacks what the handmaid has, which is fertility. “It has nothing to do with passion or love or any of those other notions we used to titillate ourselves with” (Atwood, 94).…

As stated above, paraphilias are quite chronic, with a necessity of minimum of two years of treatment. But even so, predicting treatment outcomes have come out to be quite difficult. According to Brannon, "Long-term treatment gains appear to require approaches that address the underlying dynamics that go beyond the simple paraphilia itself. The morbidity or mortality of a paraphilia depends on the act practiced, the comorbidity involved, the patient's cooperation with the therapist, and whether or not the legal system is involved." (2013) Simply put, in order to make a good prognosis, it is necessary for the patient to have a cooperative attitude, ordinary sex life, motivation and desire for self development, and voluntary and positive approach…

The joke has been made by some that if prostitution is indeed the world’s oldest profession, than pornography must be the world’s oldest expression. Indeed, the very word pornography was originally used to describe any art or literature that depicted the life of prostitutes (Jenkins, 2014), while obscenity is a word believed to have come from the Middle French word obscène in the late 16th century, meaning “offensive to the senses, or to taste and refinement” (Harper, 2001). In order to completely examine the idea of obscenity, its role and how it is handled in today’s legal society, one must first take a look at the legal definition of obscenity, including how it is related to and different from pornography, how it has evolved, and the problems currently associated with it. This paper will briefly examine the history of how obscenity has been defined and dealt with in the United States, apply a personal view to the standards set by the “Cambria” list, and discuss the effect the internet has had on the way the courts now deal with obscenity cases.…

(Berk, 2013, p.19) Each step prepares the child by giving them experiences that later they would utilize as a forming mechanism or problem solving technique. Sex education is a process that integrates the ecological system theory based on how a child receives such information and evolves in their development.…
