The first person is Achilles. He was a Greek warrior who is known to be stout and endowed. He left his fellow men in the fight against Troy because of a disagreement with Agamemnon but returns later on. His greatest strength is his brawn. This transfigures into a weakness when Achilles becomes cocky which impedes him from acting with honor and decency. Conflicts erupt between Achilles and others throughout the story.
The next person was Hector. Hector is a Trojan warrior and also the brother of Paris. Paris took Helen which is why the war between the Trojans and Greeks started. Hector is fighting for Paris in this myth. Hector’s greatest strength is his ability to fight as a great warrior. This is a weakness because he kills people without thinking of the consequences which causes him problems in the end. “ My death now awaits me,” Hector concluded. “ I see no way to avoid it. Agamemnon is the “leader” of the Greeks. Agamemnon gets in a conflict with Achilles which causes complications for the Greeks. Overall his greatest strength is his ability to lead his people through times of war and chaos. Conjoint to the strength is the weakness. As a result of being a leader he had become reliant on others to be there. “ As a result, Zeus honors Achilles, whom he loves in his heart, and is destroying us. To atone for my insult, I shall give the son of Peleus an overwhelming number of impressive gifts.” (Iliad p.59) This shows how he is regretful that he lost Achilles because he needs him in order to
