Trayvon Martin was a 17-year-old boy who was walking back to his father’s house when he was gunned down by George Zimmerman, who thought the Martin looked “suspicious.” Zimmerman wasn’t charged for his actions. This is said to be what sparked the movement, Black Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter is about fighting for the lives of African-Americans, and getting justice for those they have lost. The activists are not afraid of breaking the law in order to have what’s right be done.
