“Today, 21 states do not have minimum wages higher than federal level, and of the 29 that do, none of them have minimum wages high enough to cover individual living expenses.” (Say yes to) This should show that jobs need to pay more, because jobs are a necessity to help people have a life. I personally think they should slowly keep raising the federal minimum wage as prices for living in a house or even prices for the things you need in life go up. As well as corporations have a great toll in all of this “corporations have “mishandled welfare funds” and “are not effectively delivering job training and support services for those who need them.”” (Kevin) People need to have support through their work and after they are done working. If they have no money by the time they need to retire they won’t be able to afford anything and would have to keep working. This is another reason people end up below poverty level, even after working for many years, then not having much money
