Over the years my neighborhood needed to be more help to make it a safe place for people who lives there. My passion for law enforcement has developed from wanting to reform my community and watching the television show Law and Order SVU, which dealt with neighborhood like mine. I will not have a dull moment because I’ll be active and meeting different…
Therefore to me it is very hard since I love helping people when they are in need, but hate being indoors all day. On top of that having a passion for the law. Even if they have a lot in contrasting I will still have to follow what my heart says to go…
The reason as to why I want to join the explorers program is because I was just recently in the Junior Police Academy or JPA. The Junior Police academy lasted for one week (Mon-Fri) over the course of that week the police officers introduced us to many things. Whenever the officers taught us about something new I gave it my full attention because I wanted to know more of what police officers do on a daily basis and what they did in certain situations. The reason why I want to be part of the explorers program is because I find what the police department does for our community a bit intriguing. I enjoy how police officers always put other people's lives before theirs and that officers will do whatever they can to keep everything and everyone…
It was hard to get back on track but now that I have decided to start my life again over here at Los Santos, the city that saw my birth. I am confident that joining the LSPD will be the best move I can ever make, so I can help birn justice to this city once again. My parents are getting old and I have worked hard and earned some cash with private detective jobs which have allowed me to send them to a nursing home with all the needs and securities, so I dont have to worry about them and I can focus on my job 100%. I hope to have as much succes in this department as I had in the San Fierro Police…
I believe all applicants that have used any illegal narcotics, or sold any illegal drugs should be automatically disqualified from gaining employment as law enforcement. No one that wants to be superior to others or authority should do anything illegal. If they have committed any type of crime they shouldn’t be granted the privilege of arresting or restraining other criminals, who could have potentially been their parent in crime and/or drug use. They shouldn’t be trusted, they could easily take drugs or money into their possession and use it for unlawful reasons. Anyone in the law enforcement career field should lead by example, and be someone with self-control.…
I learned how to paint houses and helped my cousin paint his family’s home in Syracuse. As a result of my campus involvement I have become a great leader and a role model to my peers. Along with my academic preparation, I have developed transferable skills that I believe will be valuable in my future career with the government. I chose criminal justice as a major because of the department’s strong reputation for preparing students for leadership positions in criminal justice fields, especially in law enforcement. As a criminal justice student I learned that there is always three sides to a story, not two.…
In 2007, I was hired by Irving Police department and completed the academy as the valedictorian. I’m currently assigned to patrol and still enjoy it as if it was the first day. The work is challenging and for the most part each call is like a new adventure. The work that intrigues me the most and I truly enjoy is narcotics interdiction.…

Trust, in a community, is essential when it comes to law enforcement. Without trust, we won’t really feel protected in our neighborhood. To avoid this conflict, the law enforcement has worked together with the community to create programs integrating the public with the police force. One of the many existing programs to encourage this is NCPAA. Or, the National Citizens Police Academy Association.…
Did you find what you expected? Why or why not? Officer Mariel stated that, “He likes the work”. Then he explained that he always wanted to work in the government sector, helping people out.…
The future is never clear, and my own was no exception. Thoughts of what I wanted to do with my life were always followed by uncertainty. During the entirety of my adolescence I always felt overwhelmed by my inability to decide my future, leading to a metastasizing panic in my inabilities to achieve success in any discipline. My transition from childhood fantasies to adult goals was anything but seamless and I often found myself lost, especially in academics.…
However, I knew that I wanted to have more of a direct impact in the community and thought back to my earlier plan of joining a law enforcement agency. A career as a…
With the growing amount of issues within the United States, our society would be different if it was not for the hand of the law. Apart of the hand of the law is law enforcement or police officers, which are officers sworn to protect and severe the citizens of the United States great society. (Ortmeier, 7/2005, p. 14) Having laws without people to enforce them or allow people to take the law into their own hands, has had significant issues in the past. (Ortmeier, 7/2005, p. 7)…
“Law enforcement officers are never ‘off duty.’ They are dedicated public servants who are sworn to protect public safety at any time and place that peace is threatened.” Our state and local law enforcement deserve a lot of respect for what they do. We should always be thankful for them, and all they do for us. Despite all the law enforcement does for us, they aren’t being shown the respect they deserve.…
