“Looky here,” he said. He tied the Aboriginal next to the horse. The Aboriginal pulled his knife from his pocket with his teeth and cut the ropes on his hands. He cut the ropes that held the horse. Suddenly, two knights galloped towards them on horses. He didn’t have much choice, so he rode on the back of the horse. The great horse was not used to this, but she ran. They galloped away, the knights behind them. The knights gave up and left. The Aboriginal took her to his tribe. He took her to another grey horse named Zia and fed them apples. He then named the great black horse “Day.”
Zia and Day headed to the lake for a drink. Zia suddenly fell in the lake. Day jumped in to save Zia, but she was too late; Zia drowned in the lake. Day was alone until a white horse named Georgan who was twelve weeks old came along. Day and Georgan became friends and wandered into the meadow. Georgan got laurel poisoning and was taken to hospital. Georgan recovered and came back.
