The first reason why Creon acted correctly is that he was showing that no one could break the law. He showed that even his family and females , Polynices, Ismene, and Antigone, would be punished. An example of this in modern times would be if the President of the United States sister killed someone. She would not get away with it and she would be punished. Creon showed this equality by not letting Polynices get buried, and not sparring Antigone. Because of his actions, the people of Thebes will be to scared to break the law, knowing that they will not be spared. A quote by Ismene sums up the reason for strong leadership.
