I did not have a solid answer for the questions the interviewee asked me. I would be all over the place. I did not elaborate on the things that needed to be elaborated and I was not specific when answering a question. During the mock interview, the interviewee pretended that she work for the company that I was going to interview with. So she asked me “what do you know about our company and what do you like most”. I answered the question by saying “I do not know a lot about the company other than the company is being a Design-Build”. She said that was a terrible answer to give because before any interview I should have a good knowledge about the company. It is hard to work for a company that you have no knowledge about. I felt like this was the basic of any interview and I should have done a lot more research about the company before I did the mock interview. I answered the question by saying “The most important aspect of this job is finishing the work on time”. The interviewee told me that this was not the best answer to give because while it may be true, this is not what most companies are looking to hear. What most companies want to hear is “safety”. The company wants individual who have safety as their first priority. This is the most important aspect for any company and they will seek out candidates who characterized themselves as having safety at their number one priority. They want candidates to say things like “safety is not an option; safety is a standard that everyone must abide
