Pink Ribbon
Pink ribbon is an organisation that helps fund research for breast cancer. They raises awareness for breast and gynaecological cancers. They fund research to make breast and gynaecological cancers manageable and treatable. A ribbon has been the symbol of support since 1979 when Penne Laingen, decided to use a yellow ribbon to show support for her husband (who was held prisoner during the Iran hostage crisis) and the other hostages.
How to help:
Every year there are thousands of pink ribbons printed or embroidered onto products and sold. For a small amount of money you can purchase some products, such as, pens, rubber bracelets, cosmetic products, drink bottles, clothes and other items.
