One of the traits that my family always says is that, I am apt to neglect myself and my own needs for the needs of others. I know there are some things that I still need to work on. I need to understand that in stressful situations, I need to step back and thoroughly look at everything at hand and make the best plan to tackle the issue. But I do feel that my problem with thinking of others first before myself will one day hinder me from make the decision that is needed. I hope that one day I will achieve the skills as stated in the assessments to become a successful leader. Once completed with my Master’s degree, I plan to become a Health Care Administrator. As an Administrator I have to be able to lead a group of employees on a daily basis to coordinate activities to allow a nursing facility to run smoothly. I also have to create goals and the strategies for achieving them, and communicate this information to all employees. Because administrators tend to such business concerns as budgeting, scheduling, information management, marketing and internal communication, the medical staff can concentrate on health care. Administrators also ensure their facilities comply with all regulations and may represent their areas of responsibility at board meetings or public hearings.
