Undocumented immigrants should not be deported from the United States because of the many negative consequences that would follow the mass deportation. These negative consequences include decrease in farming, negative effects on the economy, and more jobs that can’t be fulfilled. Unquestionably, we are living in a time when hunting against undocumented immigrants has grown hugely. First, several of its residents live in a family with mixed status, which means that one or more of its members is an unauthorized immigrant. Throughout countless years and during many administrations, immigrants of all nationalities have struggled to achieve a law of just immigration that will help them and legalize their immigration status, but sadly all attempts have been unsuccessful; which has created feelings of fear and uncertainty since most immigrants are parents of families with children born in the USA. Therefore, they fear being separated from them unfairly and dismissed. For nobody is a secret that is one of the most ruthless…
You brought up two excellent points within your post that stuck out to me the most. One was Hispanics staying stuck in the same job position with no chance of moving up due to lack of education and/or immigration status. Due to immigrations status, Hispanics must work under the table as a portion of them may not have work visas. The other reason is that some Hispanics may have not graduated high school or attained a college degree, which would bring them up to a higher paying position. “ It has been thoroughly documented, a college degree is increasingly a prerequisite for a middle-class job and middle-class income; the gaps in earnings and opportunity between those with college degrees and those without have widened dramatically since 1983”…
There have been many concerns over immigration recently and this creates uncertainty for the fate of The Dream Act. The Dream Act is a legislative proposal that will give undocumented people who came here illegally when they were very young the chance to legally obtaining Citizenship. Undocumented students do not face many hardships due to their legal status until after high school, which prevents them from reaching their highest potential through higher education and stops them from being able to obtain a well-paying job legally. This is because “many colleges and universities will not permit them to enroll. Even if they are admitted, most financial aid is not available to them” (David Bennion).…
Hello Prof.Collins and Classmates I am half Italian and half Puerto Rican, the Latina side of me recognizes the struggles that many Latinos , especially those illegal immigrate faces for full legal equality under the law. But I am torn on this subject since these Latinos are undocumented , but they come to American to escaped poverty, the corruption in their country ,and many other factors. They just want a part of the American dream, and it should be done legally ,but at times they have no choice. They are hard workers, working for less many times, but are not desired as permanent citizens.…
The country is one of the most developed countries; therefore many people migrate here, to enjoy opportunities that they do not have in their country. For example, many grants and scholarships are offered to low-income families so, immigrants migrate here to become more educated. Also, there is more help given, like the Dream Act, and Obama Care. Families migrate to the U.S. to be more financially secure. Here in the U.S. the parents are able to find at least a minimum wage job and are able to support their families.…

Immigration and migration are common actions around the world. Every day thousands of hispanics and haitians wish to come to the unites states “the state of progress”. Imagine leaving their home, their family, their friends and their culture just because of the fact that they are living in a communist country where the food is hard to find, the problems they need to face are unfair because they are good workers, they want a better life for them and their family and in their country is hard to have that life they wish for. Cubans risk their life to come to the United States illegally because of all of the problems in Cuba. People can get killed because of sharks, they can drown, food is gone,no water, etc.…
Nowadays, United States is the country that has a variety of cultures, races, etc. mixing together by having immigrants in the country. United States is wide open for people to settle down on this land and on that time there is no process for immigrants. However, in the middle of 1840 until 1880, immigrants started to come in the U.S. such as Irish and Chinese because of demanding of unskilled and cheap labors. In the 1920, automation replaced the unskilled labors as a result immigrant’s policy having limited quotas for immigrants to enter the country.…
As stated by dictionary.com, an immigrant is someone who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residency. If this is true, every individual in the Unites States today were once immigrants or were once born to one. Unlike other countries like Japan that are homogeneous, America allows different ethnicities and cultures to coexist and define America, unlike other countries where ethnic and cultural boundaries define them. This allows America to be rich in understanding, awareness, and creates a society that can scientifically, globally, and economically advance. Immigration brings great minds that constantly influence and enrich America.…

President Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “Remember, remember always, that all of us, and you and I especially, are descended from immigrants and revolutionists” (Franklin D. Roosevelt). This quote accurately sums up the majority of Americans in the United States. Immigration is seen in so many different positive and negative ways in our country today. Immigration can be defined as “ a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence” (Webster 1828), and there are many functions and dysfunctions linked to this particular word. The diversity gained, the economic impact, and contribution to taxes can each be seen as a function or dysfunction in our society today.…
