Who would have thought that someone could meet their soul mate online? Ten plus years ago people weren’t using the internet to meet people. You were connecting with people you met out somewhere or someone one of your friends set you up with to go on a blind date with. It’s been reported that one in ten American’s have used or know someone that has used an online dating site or mobile site. Online dating is slowly changing the world. Online dating comes with many different websites, a handful of advantages, but to go along with those advantages we have to look at some important disadvantages. The internet is full of things to get into from games to many learning websites. But here recently websites like Facebook are slowly taking over the internet. Dating websites have become popular here in the last eight years. More and more people are using website like eHarmony and Match.com to find their partner. There are websites for all types of people if you 're fifty years and over and don’t feel like being bothered with young and immature people they have a dating website for that. One popular website is Plenty of Fish also known as POF. This website or app is like a matching service you answer a bunch about yourself and what you’re looking for and the app basically gives you a bunch of people that meet those standards. After all that you basically choose who you want to talk to. POF also gives you this game like way of viewing people you may like in your area. If you’re a devout Christian and feel you can’t find your soulmate at the supermarket or at your own church they have a website for you too. There seems like there are hundreds of dating apps or websites out there. The internet is offering many ways for you to find the person of your dreams. These websites are a way of not limiting one person to just finding love in their city or state. It’s giving them a chance of not just settling for less of what they may deserve. Online dating also gives a chance to get to know the other person without all the first time jitters. It’s an easy way to test the waters when getting to know someone. If you’re not that likes the bar seen online dating gives you things that you may not learn about a person that you meet in a bar. Lifetime show, movie all the time about how a girl meets a guy online and something bad happens like she’s gotten kidnapped, murdered or even raped. One thing you should be aware of when dating online is scammers like most things online. Scammers can set up fake profiles and gain your trust like any normal person. After a few weeks they can ask you for some type of help and you give them your information and they got something to steal your identity
