Question 1. Teachers ' attitudes about parent involvement. Teachers were asked whether parent involvement is important for a good education, increasing teacher effectiveness, and student success. Teachers agree 100% on these issues. Who supports parent involvement and how much? It is interesting to compare teachers ' views of their own attitudes with their ideas about how others think about school and family partnerships. In this school, on average, teachers think that they (personally) support parent involvement the same as other teachers in their department while the principal supports parent involvement the same as the teachers and parents support parent involvement less than the teachers.
Question 6. What types of parent involvement school should develop or strengthen? This question provides a "profile" of where teachers think this school is starting from in its practices of partnership in major types of involvement. The items cover only a few of the possible practices that are used for each type, but the data should give some ideas about where teachers think school programs are already strong or need improvement.
