Weightless Foundation Vs NARS Luminos Research Paper

Makeup is used by many women across the globe as a beauty enhancer and others as a way to express themselves. The NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation and the MAC Match Maker Foundation are both great products that serve the same purpose and are both very popular in the market. However, when it comes to women of color, the NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation is superior. NARS is better than MAC because not only does it offer a wider variety of shades but it is also more affordable than MAC. Furthermore, the NARS foundation offers better coverage that last throughout the day which is a feature that the MAC foundation doesn’t offer.
Consequently, both the NARS and MAC foundations offer a variety of shades, MAC caters more towards lighter shades while NARS is more accommodating to both lighter and darker shades. From personal experience, I came to realize that as a darker woman of color, NARS is more appealing to my complexion not only because it has my shade which is, “DARK 3” whereas with MAC I would have to mix two different shades in order to achieve that result. Also, while the MAC Match Maker offers 12 different shades, the NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation offers up to 20 different shades.

For instance, I realized that when using MAC you would be recommended to incorporate concealer in order to hide hyperpigmentation and dark circles. Whereas, with NARS the concealer is already incorporated into the foundation. Also, NARS blends into your skin and pores which allows the foundation to compliment your undertone which would later leave you with a more natural look.
