Ever heard about the Washington Wizards? It is an American professional basketball team based in Washington Dc.The Washington Wizards team competes in the famous National basketball association; Eastern conference southeast division. Verizon center is their home ground where they play games.
The Washington wizards were previously referred to as the Chicago Packers in the year 1961.Their home arena was referred to as the International Amphitheater. It was next to the Union stocks yard. It was unpopular that time as it had not yet come into the spotlight.
The Washington wizards later changed its name to Chicago Zephyrs. Their one season as Zephyrs was a success. Their player, Terry Dischinger won the rookie year honors. In

Washington Wizards drafted two members who were later became hall of fame members. The two players were Wes Unseld and Earl Moroe.The team improved drastically during the late 1960s.This includes the number of wins in the seasons ahead. They started recording up to 57 wins compared to previous seasons where they could only win 36wins.
In the 1968, Unseld won the MVP award and the player of the year. This is the period Washington Wizards came into the lime light. The team still performed well with the trade of some valuable players.
The team later announced their move to Capital centre, a suburb in Washington Dc.They changed its name from the Baltimore bullets to Capital bullets. They later changed their name to Washington Wizards after the 1973-1974 season. The Washington wizards become one of the favorite teams to win the NBA championship.However; they never won a single championship title.
The Basketball club rose up the ranks under the leadership of Coach K.C Jones. The club still fired Jones after losing to the championship to Cleveland. The Washington Wizards board appointed Dick Motta as their new head coach.Sadly, things didn’t go as expected. They lost another
