Bernard Sanders mostly known as “Bernie” Sanders is an American Politician and the junior United States Senator from Vermont, who’s also the first non-Christian to win a U.S. Primary. Sanders, age 74 was born on September 8, 1941 in New York City, New York. That would make him the oldest President of the United States to ever be elected. Sanders was born into a Jewish family, whereas he attended Hebrew school. He later on went to study at Brooklyn College but then transferred to the University of Chicago and got a degree in political science. For example, even though women’s rights have progressed over the years, women still get paid less than men and still deserve their right to their own body. By doing so Sanders will fix that by signing the Paycheck Fairness Act into law and end wage discrimination. By signing the Paycheck Fairness Act, all women will finally be equal to men and get paid equal. Sanders will also help women by not defunding Planned Parenthood, but expanding Planned Parenthood instead to help women have control of their own bodies, so that women could have legal and safe abortions. By having safe and legal abortions women will feel more safe and comfortable that there is something reliable to go to. Bernie, who’s had plenty of experience, is the man to fix that. For example, Bernie stated that, “for the last 40 years the American middle class has been disappearing, and more Americans are living in poverty.” According to a video by Bernie Sanders, America who has an increase of millionaires, billionaires, and Americans who work a lot of hours and little pay; also have a 32.2-childhood poverty rate, more than any other country. Bernie will help by creating a progressive estate tax of the top 0.3% Americans who will inherit about 3.5 million dollars. Bernie Sanders also stated, “by 2005 the middle class has seen their income decrease by 36% to 135,000 to 81,000 today.” Bernie Sanders wants to help America by helping Americans work 40 hours a week, which means no more poverty for the middle class. Sanders want’s to put all the Americans back to work by a 1,000,000,000,000-job program to rebuild Americas crumbling infrastructure and help 13,000,000 Americans get jobs. By putting back all Americans back to work and investing 1 trillion dollars that could help rebuild our infrastructure needs.
