The Difficult Questions
Question 1: What is my personal minimum requirement for accommodations? I would require minimal accommodations. Since I would be traveling and volunteering, I will not be spending much time in my accommodations. As long as I have my own bed, a place to bathe, and an overall clean place to live, I will be comfortable. My bed does not need to be a specific size or even comfortable, but just my own area. For a place to bathe, I simply need running water, nothing fancy. Overall, I am a very clean person so I would prefer a dirt-free place to sleep.

My travel experience is quite well-rounded. I have traveled to many different domestic cities by car and plane, all with different cultures and normalities. I have also traveled internationally in Europe. Some of the foreign countries were english-speaking, while others had a language barrier. I also lived in Italy for four months while studying. I have volunteered for several programs throughout the years. During high school, I served at my local rescue mission and assisted those who were living there. I also volunteered to work with the junior women’s team at a gymnastics center by acting as a choreographer in their yearly program. My favorite program, however, was assisting with my youth group as a “student leader”. I assisted with set ups for meetings, program schedules and making students feel comfortable in the environment.
Question 10: What voluntary service would I like to perform? I feel that, based on my prior volunteer experience, working with older kids would be most beneficial to me as well as the community that I am working with. I also have a passion for animals and the environment so I would like to assist that field of work as well. Although I know who I would like to work with, I do not have a preference for any particular service. My preference would depend on the community that I end up working in and who I would be interacting with along the
