My favorite thing to do is traveling. There are a lot of interesting countries to visit around the world; but my favorite is Cuba. I think Cubans are very nice and hospitable people. When you go to Cuba you feel like you are at home. In my opinion, there are three things that make that country great for visiting: 1. culture 2. food and 3. nature.
First, I think that Cuban culture is fascinating and mixed. It has influences from Europe, Africa and Asia. For instance, Cuba has several kinds of religions like African, Catholic and Protestant. They have wonderful recipes like the “moros and cristianos”, the “yucca and mojo” and the “Cuban steak”. In addition, they make the best coffee in the world. They are very proud of it. It is a tradition to drink the coffee and smoke Cuban cigars at the same time. Cuban cocktails are very famous also. If you go to old Havana, you can stop by the same place Hemingway had wonderful Daiquiris: “El Floridita”. Besides the food and drinks, the service at the restaurants is really outstanding. In any Cuban restaurant you will feel at home.
Finally, I want to talk about Cuban nature. In Cuba you can find the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sand is extremely white. The ocean has a stunning turquoise tone. There you can feel like in paradise. On the other hand, you can also find beautiful mountain landscapes like: “el pico Turquino”, “Vinales” and “Sierra Maestra”. There are also many rivers where families go during weekends to enjoy nature.
In conclusion, I think Cuba is one of the best places to visit during vacations. There, you can enjoy the most exquisite food and beautiful environments. For many years, Cuba was closed to the world.
