Our goal is to gather and analyze as much information from a sample of veterinarians as we can. In order to conduct this analysis, we would follow the five basic steps of conducting a job analysis which are 1) identify tasks performed; 2) write task statements; 3) rate task statements; 4) determine essential KSAOs; and 5) select tests to tap KSAOs.

Instead, we will form a sample group of 1,000 veterinarians, assigning 20 job analysts to 10 groups of 100 veterinarians (2 job analysts per group of 100 veterinarians) to make things a bit more manageable. These groups of veterinarians will be evenly dispersed across regions in the country in order to get a good variety of the different kinds of animals that are dealt with.
While under the supervision of the job analysts assigned to them, the veterinarians will be interviewed, observed, and given the PAQ to further delve into their daily tasks. Because there are 100 veterinarians per group and only 2 job analysts, this task will take a little while, but it is best to take our time collecting information in order to provide the soundest skills, data, and experiences to apply to the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam.
I believe that if we follow this plan we will be able to ensure that we get all of the important information needed to become a veterinarian, and that if the candidate takes this exam, they can do so with confidence knowing that they have learned all they needed to learn to kick start their careers at the entry
