Value of College There are multiple reasons for receiving a college education. Without a college education, you won't be handed the same opportunities for work. A college education is extremely important because, one can make more money, have a better, more rewarding job, and live a healthier life. To begin with, a college education will help you earn more money. According to 5 Ways Ed Pays, people with college degrees make on average 63% more money per hour than someone with just a highschool diploma(“Five Ways Ed Pays”). That amount of spending money can make life so much easier. One last reason why college is so important is that your lifestyle is just going to be better. “The basic skills about success at life were learned at school” (Wadha). Most if not all social skills were taught from being with people in school. Studies have shown that you will have more security and protection if you go to college (“Five Ways Ed Pays”). The college campuses will have security around at all times, so you will always be safe at college.
To summarize, going to college is an extremely necessary choice to make. Some people might think that college debt and funds cost too much for it to be worth it. What they don't realize is that with a college degree, you can make much more money. Sometimes the extra money you make is so much more with a college degree than without one that you will earn more spending money, even with the debt. You can also get scholarships and have the school pay for the majority of the funds. Lastly, the experiences you make in college make it worth it.
