Vaccines prevent many harmful and sometimes deadly diseases. According to the CDC, the United States has the safest, most effective vaccine supply in history. Safety monitoring begins with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), who ensures the safety, effectiveness and availability of vaccines in the United States. There are many studies and evaluations done by highly trained FDA scientist and doctors to determine the effectiveness and safety, before a vaccine is approved for public use. These pictures play to the emotional side of the public. The children are happy, smiling and are obviously loved. The parents choose to vaccinate their children to protect them and keep them safe from infectious diseases.
