There are different types of parents that vary from authoritarian, indulgent, and neglectful parents. These type of parenting are very different. Authoritarian parenting is unresponsive and demanding. Indulgent parenting is undemanding and responsive. Neglectful parenting is a care free type of parenting. The central characteristics of authoritarian parenting is that they expect their child to obey every rule with no questions asked. This type of parenting has little open communication between the parent and the child. The children who usually deal with this type of parenting display low social skills because their parents take away making there own choices.
