The organization under description is the US Marine Corps (USMC). It is one of the four branches of the United States Department of Defense. The USMC provides power from the sea and is also a Joint Chiefs of Staff member. I am a proud member of the US Marine Combat Veteran. Specifically, I was attached to the artillery unit in San Diego, Ca. as an ammunition technician. Further, during my four-year enlistment, I deployment to Afghanistan in the operation enduring freedom and it was a colorful experience. My short period with the USMC so far has made me adequately understand the organization’s functions.
