As a parent, you never know when your life will change and it’s especially difficult when the change is happens to our very own child. Just recently my 12-year old son Julian was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I never expected this to happen to my family because we have always eat healthy, stay away from sugary foods and never have anything processed in our home. What’s even more frightening; is the doctor has recommended Julian treat his diabetes with a daily shot to control his diabetes, I have never been a fan of needles and find them to be scary. Now what do I do? Now that my son is diagnosed with diabetes; I have chosen to deal with this by doing my own research into children that are going through this same change in their lives.
