That’s where a designer steps in — to turn her bedroom into her favorite retreat, filled with her favorite things that can grow with her into young adulthood.
Interchangeable colors
Tweens love color, so we gave the space a punch of fresh, invigorating color. Sometimes you have to go beyond the ordinary, and choose color combinations that seem avant-garde, particularly when you’re designing a space for a tween, teenager or young adult. We chose colors that are popular with tweens, but paired them with elegant neutral blues and timeless crisp whites, allowing you to interchange colors and transition easily into the next phase of life. …show more content…
We chose prints inspired by spring and summer that added depth and drama to the space. We mixed and matched, and layered-on color and texture, drawing from the walls, carpet and even the desk. Anthropology duvets and eclectic Boho sheets have a young appeal but can easily transition into adulthood. We added additional texture and softness with a Mongolian lamb fur pillow in white — perfect for snuggling on a chilly night.
