A True Democracy Everyone from all over the world comes to one place, that place is Canada. Canada’s a great place to live. It’s a very diverse country with special people. It’s a unique place to live at with all the different cultures that are here. Canada is known for its natural resources and charming wonders, such as the majestic Niagara Falls, the great mountains and the different climates. Canada is one the top countries to live because of many elements of our democracy; Common Good, Human Dignity, and Political Freedoms. Common Good plays into action on Canada being a true democracy. Examples include obeying the law. By obeying the law, it makes Canada a safe and stable environment. If a law is ever broken those who break face the …show more content…
Examples include respecting and valuing gay marriage. Valuing gay marriage makes Canada an open community for everyone being whoever. The LGBTQ are also respected and valued in Canada it makes Canada a peaceful place. Disabled or sick kids, teens, adults and seniors gets the same treatment as everyone else. By building ramps and elevators to schools, stores, houses, and apartments it makes life easier for those who are disabled or sick. By respecting and treating people the same it makes Canada a restful country and no problems occurs because of the treatment Canada has. Political Freedom is the last example that makes Canada a true democracy. Examples include changing something in Canada. If Canadians dislikes a law or right; Canadians will visit the town hall and ask the Prime Minister or member of council directly on what change should be made towards Canada. Voting for whoever has the best change to Canada. Canadians have the power to see what is needed, that all starts with the control of the Canadians choosing a good leader. Canada is a true democracy because of all the unique people that make up Canada. Canada is one of the best countries to live in because of many elements that come into action in our democracy; Common Good, Human Dignity, and Political
