Truck Load Vs Air Force

Freight classification can vary per item characteristics such as weight, size, value, durability, and perishability. So many times items that have a high values carry the highest rating, since the freight company is responsible for the shipment from point A to point B. However, would it be a better decision to just do a Truck Load (TL) shipment to eliminate the risk of thief? Many times while in the Air Force I have seen shipment that were of the 500 rating place in TL shipments, because those shipment are seal at origin and driven straight to destination often with two drivers only stopping to change drivers.
