Training Program Entry Essay

I hoisted the missile launcher onto my shoulder and surveilled the battlefield through the telescopic sight. Infrared imaging revealed an enemy tank concealed amid the landscape. I narrowed the crosshairs around the vehicle and pulled the trigger. The self-guidance system steered the warhead into the target, successfully concluding the virtual training program for the Javelin Missile. This achievement provided immense satisfaction as I had dedicated the past three months towards renovating the system, my first design as a mechanical engineer for Raytheon. Completing this assignment engaged my technical skills, tested my persistence, and ultimately prompted my decision to pursue a career as a patent attorney.
The Javelin Missile training program utilizes a replica launch tube and a viewfinder displaying virtual combat situations to simulate missile targeting within a controlled environment. I needed to upgrade the system’s battery and display screen, requiring the restructuring of numerous internal components. This opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology thrilled me. Throughout my childhood I pored over aviation magazines and scientific journals, closely following every engineering-related advancement. Designing an original

Rather than admit defeat and request a simpler task, I called upon the resources available within Raytheon. I started requesting guidance from neighboring colleagues, contacting vendors to determine component capabilities, and researching datasheets to confirm ideal design specifications. Implementing this newfound technical ability, I systematically resolved each issue impeding my progress. My design obtained formal approval three months later, strengthening my self-confidence as an engineer. This glimpse into the development of advanced technology left me yearning for a more direct role in the innovation

“The magic happens when you step outside your comfort zone.” This proverb sums up everything I went through when I recently attended the Air Force Academy’s Summer Seminar in July. While there, I was pushed well beyond my limits. We, the attendees, did strenuous physical training sessions at roughly a mile above sea level, woke up before the sun rose, attended sample classes, and studied tons of military knowledge while learning about the Air Force Academy and the admission process. It was truly a challenge being there, and I loved every minute of it!…

The United States Marine Corps is the finest fighting force on this planet, and at thirteen weeks, their basic training program is the longest of all of the United States Military Forces. That thirteen weeks is dedicated towards completely removing all civilian qualities from a person and changing a “whimpering civilian” into a highly trained United States Marine. If the U.S. Government is that dedicated to the concept of training and preparing their troops for what is to come, then that same dedication should be shown in preparing our troops to return to the “real world” once their service time has come to an end instead of the measly FOUR DAYS allocated for Transition Assistance Program (TAP) classes. More of an effort needs to be spent ensuring our…

    Essay On Credentialing

I personally wholeheartedly agree, credentialing is important in protecting both the patients and the institution from harm, but reality is that credentialing alone won’t address every conceivable action that may occur during business operations. Unfortunately, errors will happen or may occur due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances that may arise or develop during the process. I remember doing a paper in my undergraduate studies that focused on NASA, and one expects a high level of quality, and quality was there, but an additional influence that contributed to some of their problems was a culture that believed in their invincibility. Management had a corporate culture that could be generally described as arrogance.…

Should students have to pass a basic skills test to graduate high school? A basic skills test is very controversial, it leaves a lot of kids in distress over whether or not they will pass high school. A basic skills exit exam tests you over writing, math, reading, and other skills. If students don’t pass then they get the option to study and take it again, or they have to go to summer classes and retake courses so they can pass.…
