Totalitarian states as well as Liberal Democratic states both have many advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages in a totalitarian state would be that totalitarian governments can exist on any end of political spectrum. From totalitarian communist regimes to the fascist government. An advantage is that it is easy to govern under the conditions of a totalitarian state because voting and other exercises of citizen’s freedom are not an impediment of governance. Another advantage could be that the role of the government is unlimited. Dictator in charge benefits widely from this type of regime because control and power is not shared or distributed amongst other representatives.
Disadvantages however contributes to the downfall of a totalitarian state. Dictator becomes very greedy and selfish with power. There is restriction or non-existent freedom and basic rights that is granted to citizens. Totalitarianism leads to suffering and oppression of citizens.
