Threat To Verizon

Verizon faces many substitute products that could hurt their maximum profit potential. Most notably the other phone carriers pose a serious challenge to Verizon, because the others are always changing pricing and data plan sizing. However, these other phone carriers are also their rivals and will be discussed in better detail in a later part of this report. Therefore, the substitutes that this section is going to talk about involve some of the not so straightforward products that pose a threat to Verizon. These products include Facebook, Skype, and Twitter. These substitute products may not pose a very serious threat to Verizon, but these products can be used to communicate with others and not using your cellular data to communicate.

A Better Network Verizon’s new ‘Better Matters’ ad campaign has centered on very visual descriptions of “independent studies” and how a cellular network operates. While this ad campaign does do a great job of showing the viewer of how Verizon is great in all these categories, it does not show all of the data collected from these “studies”. Analysis In the ‘Better Matters’ ad campaign by Verizon, they have focused on visually engaging the audience by making very receptive commercials.…
