WVU picked up right where they left off when Game 2 got underway. Sophomore Kyle Davis led off the first inning with a double to center field and advanced to third on Freshman Darius Hill's fly ball to right. Ivan Vera grounded out to shortstop Kyle Wrighte, scoring Davis. Jackson Cramer gave the Mountaineers a 2-0 lead when he drilled his eighth home run to left center. Senior southpaw Ross Vance got in some trouble early in the third inning. He gave up a one-out double to W&M's Matthew Keane. Left fielder Ryan Hall tied the game 2-2 the next at bat, driving the ball to over the left field wall. WVU responded in the bottom half of the inning to regain its lead.
