The three critical individual variables are ego strength, field dependence and locus of control. The following three were developed by Linda Trevino; she believed the ethical decision can explain by the interaction of individual and situational components. To resolve an ethical dilemma Trevino believed this is a cognitive moral development stage. According to Trevino the ego strength individuals follow their convictions and resist impulse decisions. The four categories of deviant or misbehavior are Production deviance, political deviance, property deviance, and personal aggression.
I have seen three categories for example on production deviance I seen one of my coworker clock-in in the morning before 8am and she left the building to do her errands. She was on the clock to do her personal errands and she return to work later after 8AM.
For political deviance, my previous supervisor asked me to start on new tasks to reconcile some bank accounts. I did not receive any training from her besides she told me to reconcile these accounts. I told her you haven’t train me yet. She explained a little of the details and told me to figure it out by following the example she gave me. I had to figure out the details myself, and submit the reconciliation to her for approval. Today I continue to reconcile the bank
