“Long before you knew what death was, you were wishing it on someone else.” In Ray Bradbury’s short story “The Veldt”, the story follows a wife and husband, Lydia and George’s experience living in a Happylife home with their two children, Peter and Wendy. The Happylife home is a futuristic house that runs on technology, in the home is a room for the children called the Nursery. The nursery is a virtual reality room that would create any place the children imagine. One day, the parents realize how the nursery has taken away their children from them as the children start to resent Lydia and George for taking away their nursery, causing them to rebel.
