We got to this beautiful green island called Cuba. Driving through Havana and seeing how different everything was from Orlando and also how amazing it was. There was this guy on a motorcycle with a loud noise that you can hear from miles away. I saw that he was selling mangoes. They were the sweetest and most delicious mangoes I’ve ever tasted. I was falling in love with Cuba. We finally got to my grandma’s house. My mouth dropped to the ground in shock. I couldn’t believe it. Before I came to Cuba, my grandma had told us that she was remodeling her small wooden home. Her house looked weak. When I first saw the place where I needed to stay at, my first thought was “Wow only two small bedroom, with one small bathroom, and there was 8 of us staying in those small bedrooms. Mind you, the kitchen was outside and it was still made out of wood. When we had to take a shower there was NO hot water! NO HOT WATER! That was insane. So, we had to boil the water before we took a shower and we put the boiled water inside a bucket where the rest of the cold water was, so it could be the right temperature. It was definitely something to get used to. It wasn’t that bad because it was hot in Cuba anyways. As I was taking pictures I saw there was only two clothing shopping stores; there was a Puma store and a Nike store. They only had two pairs of shoes they were selling and about two pair of clothing. It made me think back to all the time I complaint about how we need more clothing stores here and there, but we don’t realize there are other places that don’t have any of that. After taking pictures of the place which looked completely empty, with paint coming off the walls, there was this security guard who walked up to me and told be I couldn’t be taking any pictures. I got scared because why would …show more content…

And everyone lived so close to each other that they would sometimes cook something for the whole barrio one day and everyone would pinch in something and then the other neighbors would do the same and it gets passed on and on . In Orlando you see animals running around in streets, well in Cuba you saw dogs mostly running around without a home and they were all starving to death just like some families. Some families didn’t have enough money to buy any food or even had a home, so they would get sick and
