It is certain that everyone has problems. Having traumatic experiences could happen at any age, anytime, anywhere. For Ender, that is what happened to him at six years old. Ender’s life growing up was rather difficult. Even with a loving family, he always felt isolated and unsocial. After defeating the buggers with his team, he felt blameful that he destroyed a species that were not fully aware of what they were getting themselves into. Ender Wiggin was the best commander in all of mankind history. Different, emotional, this experience took him on a long journey on figuring out who his really is. Ender was the only six year old when his life took a big turn. From having to deal with Peter at home, he now has to deal new challenges. At first Graff set him up for failure, he purposely wanted for the other boys to despise Ender. That led to jealousy, and kids picking on him as he “cried out softly with the pain” (Card 60). Ever since the beginning of the novel, Ender wanted to finish Battle School as soon as possible just for the benefit of others. His past life may have caused him pain, but now he still has so much to learn. As soon as Ender made the final move, the strangers that were surrounding him started to cheer. Most referred to as Ender instead of his first name, he learns that in order to survive according to the government, he needs to sacrifice his life and family for Battle School. Throughout the book, Ender considers himself a ruthless killer that will turn into his older brother, Peter. In Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card, Andrew Ender Wiggin fulfills the apocalyptical hero archetype because he faces the possibility of Earth going to war unless he sacrifices his innocence. Ender Wiggin: The Innocent Weapon In Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card, Ender is a very controversial character. Many people believe that he is a killer with a violent spirit, and that he meant to commit genocide, while I disagree. I believe that Ender has an innocent spirit, a friendly conscience, and was repeatedly used as a weapon. He was provoked when fighting Stilson and Bonzo, was constantly controlled by the adults, and did not have the intent of genocide on the buggers.…

Ender’s mother was shocked that an officer was proud of the decision Ender made that got him invited to the battle school because Graff was basically promoting violence to Ender, saying it is ok to use which made the novel disturbing. Also, the violence while in battle school made the children being in the characters more disturbing because of the actions they took. Ender and Bonzo were fighting in the bathroom because Bonzo wanted to kill him, “Ender whirled in time to see Bonzo stagger backward, his nose bleeding, gasping from surprise and pain”(211). The quote shows how Ender was defending himself from Bonzo, who wanted to kill him. The character should not have been a child and shown that violence was the problem solver.…
