ENTJ people are realists, in the most basic sense of the word. Not only because their thinking is based upon a clear view of how things actually are in the world around them, but also because their ideas and strategies are structured around those unambiguous, "down to earth", commonsense beliefs which sum up the obvious and undeniable in life. But while ENTJs might be pragmatic about the immediate situation before them, they are scarcely satisfied with it until it can be made more productive, useful or valuable. The ENTJ's reasoning on such matters is always clear and generally unemotional. If action can improve an item or a situation then it ought to be taken, and the ENTJ will always be found in the midst of such action, organizing, planning…

A great leader must be an effective communicator in order to lead a group of people in order to accomplish a goal or vision.…

Everyone Needs Fulfillment and Joy (ENFJ) If asked what the letters “ENFJ” stood for, many a passerby on the street could answer correctly, “Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging,” a personality type based on the popular Myers-Briggs Type Indicator questionnaire. Some disregard the growing interest in personality tests as a fad, but that does not dismiss the fact that America has become increasingly concerned with personality, specifically with that of the extroverted student. In the article “Bring On the Elites!”, Joel Stein argues that education should better prepare students for the future, and many teachers use this reasoning to justify a focus on nurturing communicative abilities key to extroverted personalities. However, despite…

Assessment one “My Basic Personality” showed that I was indeed an ENTJ. Those of the ENTJ personality type are born leaders. They can become frustrated and impatient when things don’t unfold according to their expected plan or time frame, evoking notions of the “Type-A” personality (Drenth, n.d.). Assessment two “Ambiguity” showed me something new about myself. Having intolerance of ambiguity means that you tend to perceive situations as threatening rather than promising (Robbins, 2008).…
